Dennis Isou conclude their Connect / Exchange artist residency with a performance that utilises fictional writing, film and installation.
Following on from their performance-essay at Northern Charter, Newcastle in 2013, Isou will present a second version of A Crack in the Window for a small audience in Birmingham. A playful and intimate table-top performance will continue to discuss and play with the moving image, passivity and the action of spectating.
Dennis Isou is an artist group consisting of Mark Bleakley and Josh Wilson who are currently based in Newcastle upon Tyne. For the project Isou is collaborating with London-based sound artist Tim Bamber. This performance is the focal point of their residency at A3 Project Space as part of the Connect-Exchange initiative by Northern Film and Media and is supported by the School of Art, Birmingham.
Connect/Exchange is a Northern Film & Media initiative in partnership with The NewBridge Project, Metal and A3 project Space. It is supported by Arts Council England through Grants for the Arts, The European Regional Development Fund, and a-n The Artists Information Company. connectexchange.org
