Hosted by Amanda Holiday & Cath Giliver
Sat 19 Sept 1pm
You are invited to join artist Amanda Holiday and Cath Gilliver from SIFA Fireside to celebrate the arrival of Amanda’s din din project to Birmingham. Join us for a ‘harvest time’ lunch event with live music by SIFA's talented musicians The Firesiders.
For the event we are asking everyone to bring a dinner plate with delicious home-grown or home-made food. The produce will form the centre of our harvest table after which everyone will be invited to a shared meal.
About din din:
din din consists of 50 wall-mounted dinner plate collages by Amanda Holiday. Exploring taste, hunger, greed, desire and need, collectively they tell a fiction of modern eating played out in an age of austerity and food-banks.
